Happy Friday!! Stampin' up & Case this Sketch!

Happy Friday!  It's a cloudy & rainy day in Maryland.  It is a great day to be Crafty!!  I can't express how much I am still so in love with this Stampin' up     Forever Greenery suite!  I just love the colors and that everything matches perfectly!  Makes it easy to create with!

I also used a sketch from Case this Sketch! for my card.  You can see the Sketch below!  I love to join in on the challenges!

Here is my card I created.  I used  the embossing folder that matches this suite.  It really can be used on many different cards.  I filled the space behind my sentiment with tons of "greenery" behind it, and used the gold hoop as well.  It looks Fresh & Ferny (is that a word? lol)

The Great Bash your Stash and Scrapbook Generation!

Hello Crafty peeps!!

I am bashing my stash and found I have several
AWESOME kits
from Scrapbook Generations.

The Second Double page layout I did was also using a Kit from SBG.  I want to mention an absolutely inspiring Artist they use
Allison Davis   Who designs many of their Sketches.  You know I love a sketch :-)

I hope you are finding JOY in whatever you can!!

Monday Monday........

It's Monday!!  And I have been off for over a week!!  Got a lot done around the house and crafted with some friends over a long weekend.  I challenged myself to BASH YOUR STASH!  I have (don't we all) so much paper and embellishments that I need to use up!

I actually got 11 layouts done too!!  Felt great to scrapbook again!!  I often turn to cards because I can create those easier and in less time.

Well I looked at Sketch N Scrap for a scrapbook layout sketch. And found the perfect one for my picture of us kayaking.

Here's my scrapbook layout-  It is quite FULL of layers and helped bash my stash a bit.

And here is the sketch-

I did change it up a bit since I had a 5 x 7 picture.  I used so many "pieces" from different paper lines but the colors went well together.

Hope you are being crafty & are safe & healthy!!

Stampin' Up Ornate garden meets Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge!

Happy Tuesday Everyone.  It has been SUPER hot here in Maryland! And I am off all week and enjoying some crafting time when I can!  I have been able to go kayaking ( early in the morning to beat the heat!) and go to a friends pool to cool off.  But with times the way they are we are all being very careful here in Maryland.    I hope you are staying safe & healthy as well!

I am sharing a card I made for my sister in laws birthday that is coming up.  I just got in some new product from Stampin' Up! and wanted to play with the new Ornate Garden Paper that was calling my name!!  It was Perfect for the color combo I wanted to do for the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge!
I love this challenge because you could choose the sketch, color scheme or the photo!!   I chose the color and layout for my card!

So I set to work to make this card.  Now I have to say it was quite Fun & Challenging for me!  You see the paper I choose is just a gold foiled flower pattern.  So I used markers to color all the flowers and leaves on the bottom strip and for the flowers that are the focal point.  I am trying to learn more as I keep working at it.  But I know my sis-in-law will love it!

I used various Stampin' Up products on this card. If you have any questions just let me know!

Stampin' UP! Playing with Patterns meets Case this Sketch Challenge and Global Designs Color Challenge!

Happy Friday!!  I hope you are all safe & healthy!!   And taking time to be positive and "Find Joy"!

I find Joy in crafting as many of you do.  And I love Challenges!!! This week I am combining my New Stampin' UP! Playing with Patterns suite with not just One Challenge but TWO!!

Go BIG or GO HOME!  :-)  I first picked my card sketch from this weeks Case this Sketch Blog  - What a Great sketch it is for many different types of cards!!  And then I decided to use the  Color Challenge from Global Design Projects.

After picking these challenges I set to work to make a Birthday card.  I NEVER have enough!  And I just love the Playing with Patterns DSP and the NEW Awesome matching Alphabet letter dies  "Playful Patterns".   So many ideas are shown on SU and in the catty to use these letters!

I did use the cake stamp from a recent Pumpkin Patch because it just "fit" better then some of the other stamps I had out.  And I am pleased with the final card.

Here is the card I made.  I did add some final details of faux stitching, flowers and pearls.  And some Wink of Stella on the cake flowers that's hard to see on the pic.

Here is the sketch -

And the Color challenge!

Happy Friday! Playing along with "Just add ink" Challenge today!

Happy Friday!  I am playing along with "Just add ink" Challenge today!  I hope you are all staying safe & healthy and finding time to create!

I was surfing my favorite Blogs that have card sketches and challenges this  morning!  Needing some inspiration and found this challenge at Just add Ink!  The challenge is to pick Two out of these Three Elements.  Flowers, Trees & Texture.   I looked at the paper pack I still had out on my crafting table from Stampin' UP! In Good Taste Collection and went from there!!

I love the Designer paper, Stamps and dies in this Collection. The flower in the stamp set was just a tad too bit for the layout when I start stamping and piecing it together.  So I pulled out one of my ALL time Favorite stamps Free as a Bird and used the smaller flowers from that set.  I added some texture with stamping the branches and some other stamping on the card base.  By adding dimensionals, twine, pearls and wink of stella I had the texture as well.

Stampin' UP! In Good Taste DSP and Try Stampin' on Tuesday

Happy Hump Day to all my crafty Friends!!

I hope you are all safe and Healthy!!  This week I was able to make several much needed cards.  I do struggle with "masculine" card but FEAR NO MORE!!  Stampin' UP!! has a NEW Wonderful Designer Paper series called In Good Taste that has awesome paper to help me ( and you) to  make some wonderful masculine and gender neutral cards or scrapbook layouts!  And I used the Pallet thoughts Stamp set  for the sentiment.  I added some embellishments I had in my stash to finish it up.

Of course I used a sketch and this one is from Try Stampin' on Tuesday # 464.  Love their sketches!!

Monday Fun Fold Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July Weekend!  It was hot here in Maryland but that's what we expect in July!  And I would rather be hot then cold.   :-)

I wanted to make a few cards and came across a challenge at The Paper Players for a fun fold card.   I needed to make a retirement card for my Mom and Stepdad and thought Lets give the Upright Z fold card a shot!

Here is a wonderful Youtube tutorial from Angela Pyjas Z fold Card that I used to get me started.

I used my new Stampin Up! In Good taste suite!  It was perfect for a neutral based card!!  I love the paper, the stamps and dies that are in the suite!!  I used a round silver embellishment I had in my stash at the top to keep it closed and up like an easel.  And a stampset from my stash for the congrats on your retirement.  I wish I had got a good side view picture of it but the video will be helpful if you want to get it a try!!
