Hello Spring

Just look at this paper that came in the May Birds of a feather kit!  Its from the American Crafts "My Girls" collection.  Baby blue vellum with butterflies already attached!! BEEEautiful!!  

And I had just the pictures of my daughter when she was 5!! Who is now 19 !  To scrap with this paper and I added chipboard and  paper from the Simple Stories "Vintage Bliss" collection.  It is a beautiful thing when you can easily put together a layout with an awe inspiring kit!!

Isn't she just too cute!!!

My heart belongs to you!

Hello scrappy friends!

I had a chance to do some scrappin' as well as some cards last weekend! That's a GREAT weekend huh?  And I  still had out my May Birds of a Feather Kit and was so pleased that the papers in the Lily Bee Sweet Shoppe Collections matched this pic of my son.

I also pulled chipboard from the Simple Stories collection in the May kit to embellish. Used some of the Lily Bee stickers from the kit for the title.  The White Thickers alphabets I inked to match the layout.  And I used some Jillibean labels as well.

The red heart is cut out from Doily Heart paper from Stampin' UP that one of my BFF's gave me!  I used some Stampin' up papers to add on for the banners as well.  So Sweet!

This pic was taken when he was 7 years old.  SO CUTE!! He is now 13.  Time flies.  Be sure to save the Memories!!

Thinking of You card

Happy Memorial Day!!  

I needed a Thinking of  you card and had out my Birds of a Feather kit and used some more of the Simple Stories "Vintage Bliss" Collection.   Love the chipboard stickers that are in the collection and I used one of them as the focal point on this card.  I used my   Close to my heart cricut cartridge to cut out the scalloped rectangles and a Jillibean soup label.  Added some ribbon and pearls and it was ready! This card uses this weeks sketch from Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.

Retro Sketch Card

Happy Friday!!

I am playing along with the Sketch on  Retro Sketches for this card.  I used my May Birds of a Feather kit that had the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss Collection in it to make this card.  The layout for the sketch was great as I have the chipboard stickers with this paper collection that came together nicely.  I  Love the saying and I added a WISH BIG  stamped sentiment from Verve  stamps.  The colors in this paper collection are so beautiful in real life that I have made several things with it that I  will share with you in the upcoming days.

Get Well Card

Hello Friends,   

I am playing along with Deconstructed Sketch and needed to make a Get Well card.  I had out my Birds of a Feather kit for May and this is what I came up with.

With Sympathy

One of my BFF's Father passed away recently. She is also a scrappy Friend as well and I took a while to make this card for her.  Just kept playing around trying for a "Perfect" card and then I realized ......... She would appreciate any card I made.  I decided to stay with Basic white.  Embossed another white layer for the base of the card.  Used a Prima  White flower that had rhinestones in the middle already.   I cut out a dolly from the Close to my Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge to layer behind the flower.   Added some pearls to the dolly and stamped a simple sentiment from the Close to my heart Words of Comfort Stamp set. 3 x 3 Buzz & Bumble Card

Hello!  

 I needed to make some quick and easy THANK YOU cards for my Close to my Heart Customers. I love the Buzz & Bumble paper from Close to my heart.  I wanted to make a little bit of a different card so I cut a square scallop out at 3 inches for the base with my CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  Then added the actual folding card part on top of it.  Don't You just love the BEE from this paper pack?  I added some hemp and embossed the bottom of the card with the Provo Craft Honey comb border folder. The THANKS stamp is from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set that I use a TON!!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts!

Hello everyone,

Well the school year is winding down and my son (who is 13) still enjoys giving his teachers something handmade from mom.  Per his request he wanted some note  cards and post it pads.   Here is the first set I made so far.   Using a retired paper pack from Close to my heart called FLIRTY.   Love the colors and I had the matching dimensional elements to embellish!   Here is the outside of the card holder -

And when you open it it holds little 3x3 cards.  These are the cards that are inside.

I will be making some more little Thank you gifts for his teachers and will post as I make them.

Thinking of you Card

While I had out the Close to my Heart  "FOR ALWAYS" paper pack I continued to make a few more cards.  This one is a Thinking of you card.  I used the Cute "A Blossom" stamp set from Close to my heart for the flower and the sentiment.  The Art Philosophy Cricut cart from CTMH cut out the white flower background for the stamp and the vines beside the flower.  I used on of my Stampin' up embossing folders and added a mini flower and some sparkles.   Thanks for stoppin by!

Happy Mothers Day Card a day later...................

I actually gave this card to my mom yesterday but took a pic before I left to visit her.   A few weeks ago I posted a cute little purse that I made with the Close to my heart Artiste cartridge using the same paper kit also from Close to my heart.  I gave that to my mom as well.   So here is the card

This paper pack is called "For Always" and I love the Black and white patterns and the splashes of cardstock that come with it. The Flower is from the Card Word Puzzle Stamp set. I used my water color brush to color it and the butterfly in with Lagoon Ink.   I used Black hemp and one of the Pins from the matching embellishment pack to finish it off.  She loved it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you Sympathy card

Sympathy cards can be hard to make at times.  But with this stamp from Close to my heart "Fabulous You"  with the Bird felt just right to me.  I also used the Close to my heart Buzz & Bumble paper pack.  I must say I saw a similar card from another CTMH consultant and want to give credit but I am not sure who made the amazing card that I used as a basis for mine. But THANK you!!   I added buttons, flowers and bling to finish it off.
