Hello Friend!

I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, VA last Friday. WOW what a lot of fun that was. A couple of girlfriends and I headed up and made a day of it. I did really like this stamp set that is made by InkyAntics that has the cutest idea of having Honeycomb paper on the inside to create a too cute embellishment!! This one is a rose and Inkyantics has their own line of honeypop paper to go with their stamp sets. I made it into a birthday card for a friend. I used retired paper from Close to my heart, CTMH birthday sentiment, and CTMH seam binding ribbon. I used my waterbrush from CTMH to color in the rose. Let me know if you have any questions!!

Mojo Monday Sketch!

I am finally settling into the crazy busy summer months and can scrap!! I love participating in the Mojo Monday Challenges and this week is a cute sketch that I used to make this circle card. All Close to my heart products includes the Stella Paper pack, Just for you stamp set, Just a number stamp set, Lagoon buttons, waxy flax and chocolate stripped ribbon. Lots of cutting with the cricut using the Close to my heart Art Philosophy cartridge. I made a matching envelope to go with the card as I didn't have an envelope this size. Now it's all ready to go!

Thank you teacher cans!

I made these for my sons 6th grade teachers as a little thank you. I used some retired paper as well as the Pemberly paper all from Close to my heart. The Thank you stamp is in the CTMH Cricut Art Philosopy bundle and I used the CTMH cricut cart to cut out the scallops. I added borders around the edges, added paper to the top and used paper flowers to decorate. The cans are little fruit cup type cans that have a pull tab to open. Using a safety can opener you open the cans on the bottom, clean them out and let them dry. Then using the a strong glue Glue the bottom back on.............. that is AFTER you fill it with fun stuff like candy and cute messages! I put Jolly ranchers ( We had a JOLLY good year), mints ( You have MINT a lot to me), Lifesavers ( You were a LIFE SAVER during 6th grade), Coffee flavored weurthers ( You Kept me PERKED up) and chocolate gold coins ( You are worth more then gold). They all really enjoyed the little messages inside with the candy. Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Scrappin'

Summer Fun

Here is one of my FAV pics of my son and I from Memorial Day a few years ago. A challenge with one of my face book groups got me going to scrap this. We were to use "visual triangles" thus the triangles of stars on the layout. I used the CTMH paper pack ELEMENTAL, and the CTMH Cricut cartridge to cut out the stars, the cut out under my journalin strips and the little banners. Thanks for stopping by!
